José Carreras. Farewell Tour

Outstanding Spanish tenor José Carreras will perform two concerts in Kazakhstan as part of his World Farewell Tour. The evenings will be accompanied by a symphony orchestra under the baton of renowned Spanish conductor David Giménez.

José Carreras holds a privileged position in the music world. Born in Barcelona, he was captivated by music and singing from early childhood. He first performed in public at the age of eight. In 1970, he began his professional career at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, making his debut in his first tenor role in the opera Norma alongside Montserrat Caballé. She recognized the young singer’s talent, invited him to join her in Lucrezia Borgia, and remained his mentor for many years.

The legendary Three Tenors concerts, featuring José Carreras alongside Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti, were followed by worldwide audiences of over two billion, creating an unprecedented impact on the world of opera.

Throughout his career, José Carreras has performed leading roles in operas by the most renowned composers on the world’s most prestigious stages. He was also the Musical Director of the unforgettable Olympic Games held in Barcelona.
