Camerata Kazakhstan: «Carnival of Animals» | «Peter and the Wolf»
Description
One evening, two events!
«Carnival of the Animals» and "Peter and the Wolf" are two incredibly popular musical and literary stories.
And the «Camerata Kazakhstan» orchestra is one of the leading experimental groups in Kazakhstan.
When excellent material and high-class musicians meet together, you should expect unforgettable emotions.
This is what we plan to give you on April 14, on the stage of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic
So, what awaits you?
«The Great Zoological Fantasy» - «Carnival of the Animals» was written by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns as a joke, not intended for the big stage. But there is always a grain of truth in every joke... In general, what the composer wanted to leave in his drafts as a musical misunderstanding turned into a real musical masterpiece, with jewels in the form of 14 parts of the musical cycle, where we meet Goldfish, a graceful swan, an Elephant, an Antelope, real Prehistoric fossils and many others.
On April 14, «Carnival of Animals» will be performed by the «Camerata of Kazakhstan» orchestra, reciter - Anton Zaitsev, and pianists Vladislav Ostroverkhov and Maxim Maximov.
And in the second part, you will be treated to a cartoon «Peter and the Wolf» that is completely unusual for us.
This story in the cartoon was told to the world in 2006 by director - Susie Templeton.
And she did it so unusually that in 2008 she took home the coveted gold Oscar statuette for Best Animated Short Film.
The story of Petya in Susie's version looks like this:
A boy named Petya lives with his grandfather in a house behind a fence on the edge of the forest. Grandfather forbids Petya to leave the house, so he has no friends among the children: his friends are a goose and a mischievous bird. But Petya is overcome by curiosity, and one day, despite the ban, he runs into the open world in search of adventure...
We will also set off on a difficult journey. An animated and musical one with the characters of «Peter & the Wolf» by Suzie Templeton, and the music of Sergei Prokofiev.
